Whilst the team at Skip Hire Info can usually respond quickly to deal with fly-tipping incidents, Lewes and Eastbourne Councils now also have an app that’s available to download whereby local residents can report a range of rubbish related problems directly the relevant council department to be dealt with. The app, named “Report It”, allows local people to report a range of issues including
- Fly tipping and littering
- Graffiti
- Dog fouling
- Dangerous items or equipment
- Playground damage
- Issues with trees, parks and other green spaces
Users who download the app are also available to take pictures on their phones, which will be sent along with the details of the incident. In an interview,
Cabinet Portfolio Member for Environmental Impact Councillor Isabelle Linington (Barcombe and Hamsey) is quoted as saying that the council are working hard to make the district a better place to live and using the Report It app is a great way for local residents to become involved. She added:
“Anyone can use the app which means the council can respond swiftly to issues highlighted by residents to ensure the district becomes a cleaner place to live.”
